you may be concerned about the problem.Exposing your sterling silver to the open air and humidity for extended periods of time can cause it to tarnish quickly. It is caused by oxidization from exposure to many natural elements. Here are some tips.
1.Frequently clean your silver in a mild dishwashing liquid (Phosphate free) diluted in water. Thoroughly dry your silver jewelry after exposure to water. Do not immerse your jewelry in water as this can damage and loosen stones in settings. Ultrasonic cleaners can cause fractures in glass beads and all but the hardest stones,so do not use Ultrasonic cleaners.
2.Never use toothpaste, household cleansers, or abrasives to clean your jewelry. Heavily soiled jewelry may be cleaned with a small amount of mild detergent.
3.place your jewelry pieces in an air-tight polyethylene protective bag, such as a zip-loc bag when not wearing them.
4.Never wear your jewelry while you swim, bathe or sleep.
